Objective:To explore the application of Standardized Patient (SP) in the scene model teaching of acute abdomen in surgery of clinical major of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Methods: A total of 64 students of TCM clinical major in Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 32 students in each group. The control group adopted the traditional teaching model, and the experimental group adopted the SP scenario simulation teaching method.skill operation, diagnosis and SP feedback. Results: In the theory examination, the mean scores of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P=0.006). The excellent level of the experimental group were better than that of the control group in the aspects of operation skill, diagnosis ability, and comprehensive evaluation (P<0.01). Conclusion: In the probation stage of TCM clinical students, SP scenario simulation teaching of acute abdomen has a good teaching effect, and it is recommended to apply this teaching method in the teaching of surgical acute abdomen.
