Objective:In order to solve the problem of insufficient capacity of the grassroots general practitioners(GPs)in the old revolutionary area of western Anhui Province and to formulate the training system and incentive mechanism of GPs which is suitable for the area,we need to know the distribution of competence of the GPs competency in the revolutionary area of western Anhui Province.Method:Based on the constructed three-dimensional evaluation model of general practitioner job competence in the old revolutionary area of western Anhui Province,we formulated the Self-Assessment Questionnaire of General Practitioner Job Competence in Western Anhui Province,and randomly selected 220 GPs for the questionnaire survey in October-December 2023.Analyzing the results of the questionnaire by chi-square test and one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA),investigating the influencing factors of the GPs job competence in the area by multiple linear regression analysis.Result:There were differences in age and education between GPs in community health centers and township health centers/village health offices in the revolutionary areas in western Anhui(P<0.05).There were differences in the distribution of job competency of GPs in different areas of western Anhui,with the score of job competency of GPs in Lu'an City District being significantly higher than those in other areas(P<0.001).Educational background and type of organization are important factors affecting the job competency of GPs in this region.Conclusion:Primary care services in western Anhui region is still deficient in terms of personnel age structure and educational level,and there is a big difference in the competency of GPs positions in different areas.At present,we should accelerate the building of talent in western Anhui region,so as to promote the homogenization of primary healthcare institutions and the progress of general medical service capacity in western Anhui region.
