Objective:To explore the early efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave combined with platelet rich plasma injection in the treatment of partial rotator cuff injury.Method:Sixty patients with partial rotator cuff injury who visited our hospital were selected as the study subjects.According to the treatment method, they were divided into an observation group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases. The observation group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave combined with platelet rich plasma injection, while the control group was only treated with platelet rich plasma injection.Visual analogue scale(VAS),Shoulder joint range of motion, and University of California Shoulder joint score(UCLA)were used to evaluate and compare the pain and Shoulder joint function of the two groups before treatment, one month after treatment, and three months after treatment.Result:There were statistically significant differences in the time effect, inter group effect, and time to group interaction effect of VAS scores between the two groups, and the VAS scores of the observation group patients were lower than those of the control group at 1 month and 3 months after treatment(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the time effect, inter group effect, and time and inter group interaction effect of shoulder joint mobility during active and passive abduction between the two groups. Moreover, the observation group had higher shoulder joint mobility during active and passive abduction at 1 and 3 months after treatment compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the time effect, inter group effect, and time to group interaction effect of UCLA scores between the two groups, and the UCLA scores of the observation group patients were higher than those of the control group at 1 and 3 months after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Extracorporeal shock wave combined with platelet rich plasma injection can alleviate joint pain in some patients with rotator cuff injury, promote the function of rotator cuff joint, and improve the range of motion of Shoulder joint.
