A study on the effect of forehead cold compress combined with empathy responsibility nursing on self-efficacy of patients with ear,nose,and throat problems
Objective:To study the effect of forehead cold compress combined with empathy responsibility nursing on self-efficacy of patients with ear,nose,and throat problems.Method:Sixty six patients with ear,nose,and throat admitted to hospital Otolaryngology Head and neck surgery were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=33)and an observation group(n=33)using a random number table method.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received frontal cold compress combined with empathy and responsibility care.Compare nursing effects.The compliance rate of the observation group which was higher than the control group's(P<0.05).Compared with before nursing,the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)decreased in both groups after nursing(P<0.05),while the observation group had lower scores(P<0.05).Compared with before nursing,the scores of General Efficacy Scale(GSES)and Self Care Ability Assessment Scale(ESCA)increased in both groups after nursing(P<0.05),while the observation group had a higher score(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of forehead cold compress and empathy responsibility nursing can improve the negative emotions of ear,nose,and throat patients,enhance compliance,self-efficacy,and self-care ability,and is worth promoting.
