Evaluation of the application effect of constant temperature isotonic flushing solution in gastric lavage of oral pesticide poisoning in emergency department
Objective:To explore the effectiveness of using a constant temperature isotonic flushing solution in gastric lavage for patients with acute oral pesticide poisoning.Methods:Fifty-two cases of patients with oral pesticide poisoning were collected and divided into experimental and control groups according to the random number table method, with 26 cases in each group,in which the experimental group was gastric lavage with constant-temperature isotonic rinsing solution and the control group was gastric lavage with traditional warm boiled water. The incidence of complications such as hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia and mucosal bleeding in the two groups was compared,as well as the average preparation time of gastric lavage solution in the two groups. Results:The incidence of hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia and mucosal bleeding complications in the experimental group was which were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average preparation time of gastric lavage liquid in the experimental group which was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The use of constant-temperature isotonic rinsing solution for gastric lavage in patients with oral pesticide poisoning can significantly reduce the incidence of concomitant hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, and mucosal haemorrhage,as well as significantly shorten the preparation time of gastric lavage solution, and improve the patient's satisfaction with care.
