Objective:To explore the epidemic characteristics of school infectious disease emergencies in Shicheng County from 2012 to 2022.Methods:The national public health emergency report management information system was used to obtain and sort out the live broadcast data of school infectious disease emergencies in Shicheng County from 2012 to 2022,and the data were analyzed by descriptive epidemiology.Results:From January 2012 to January 2022,a total of 68 school communicable disease outbreaks have been reported in Stone County.A total of 1,020 cases of school infectious disease outbreaks were reported,involving 23,666 people,with an illness rate of 4.31%.School infectious disease outbreaks were dominated by influenza,chickenpox,hand,foot and mouth disease and mumps.Among the school infectious disease outbreaks were seasonally bimodal in distribution,mainly from March to June and from September to January of the following year.School infectious disease outbreaks were mainly concentrated in primary schools,kindergartens and junior high schools.40 out of 68 school infectious disease outbreaks occurred in the county,accounting for 58.82 per cent of the cases,while 28 outbreaks occurred in the rural areas,accounting for 41.18 per cent of the cases,and the difference between the rural areas and the county areas was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:School infectious disease emergencies in Shicheng County from 2012 to 2022 were mainly concentrated in kindergartens and primary schools,and respiratory infectious diseases were the most common,mainly including influenza,chicken pox,hand foot mouth disease,etc.
