Objective:To explore the short-term efficacy and possible mechanism of ultrasound-guided nerve block in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia, and its influence on digital pain score(NRS)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Methods:Eighty-four patients with postherpetic neuralgia who received treatment at our hospital.Grouped according to the treatment plan,38 patients who received only pregabalin treatment were the control group, and 46 patients who received pregabalin combined with ultrasound-guided paravertebral nerve block were the observation group. The clinical efficacy, pain level, sleep quality, quality of life, immune function indexes and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The differences between the two groups before treatment were not significant(P>0.05).After treatment, compared with the control group, the total clinical efficiency, quality of life score, immunoglobulin G(IgG),IgA,and IgM levels of the observation group were significantly higher(P<0.05);NRS,PSQI score, and the total incidence of adverse reactions were significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided nerve block for postherpetic neuralgia has remarkable clinical efficacy, which can effectively improve the pain level, sleep quality and quality of life of the patients, and improve the immune function of the patients, and at the same time, the occurrence of adverse reactions is relatively small, which is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
