Objective:To explore the effect of Shaoshang acupoint needling and bloodletting combined with Yinqiao powder on symptom relief time and inflammatory response in patients with acute suppurative tonsillitis(AST).Method:Sixty AST patients admitted to the hospital were selected and randomly divided into a control group(30 cases)and an observation group(30 cases)using a random number table method; The control group was treated with ceftriaxone sodium, while the observation group was treated with Shaoshang acupoint bloodletting combined with Yinqiao powder based on the control group;Compare the efficacy, symptom relief time, inflammatory indicators, and adverse reactions between two groups. The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the disappearance time of fever, sore throat, and purulent spots or coating on the surface of the throat was shorter than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);After 3 days of treatment, the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Shaoshang acupoint bloodletting and Yinqiao powder has a good therapeutic effect on AST patients, which can promote symptom relief, reduce inflammatory reactions, and is safe.
