Objective:Evaluate the practical application effect of BOPPPS teaching model in the clinical teaching of pediatric hematological system diseases. Methods:Ninety students who participated in the pediatric clinical internship at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into two groups:the experimental group consisted of 45 students(taught using the BOPPPS teaching model),and the control group consisted of 45 students(taught using the traditional teaching model). The course focused on the chapter about nutritional iron deficiency anemia. After the course,an exam was conducted to assess the students'grasp of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and a questionnaire survey was used to evaluate the students'satisfaction and self-assessment of the course. Results:The students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher scores in both theoretical exams and practical skills compared to the control group.Additionally,in terms of satisfaction with the teaching approach, interactive learning, student engagement, understanding of theoretical content, proficiency in practical skills, and self-study capabilities, students also showed a clear preference for the BOPPPS teaching model compared to the traditional teaching model(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared to the traditional teaching mode, applying the BOPPPS teaching mode to the clinical teaching of pediatric hematological diseases can better stimulate clinical medical students'enthusiasm for pediatric learning and enhance their comprehensive abilities.
