Objective:To analyze the effect of octreotide combined with omeprazole on improving hemostasis and inflammatory factors in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods:A total of 70 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding who received drug treatment in hospital were selected,35 of whom were treated with octreotide combined with omeprazole as the experimental group, and 35 of whom were treated with omeprazole alone as the reference group. The therapeutic effect, hemostatic time, hospital stay, average blood loss, incidence of adverse reactions and improvement of inflammation level were compared between the two groups.Result:The total hemostatic effective rate of experimental group was significantly higher than that of the reference group (P<0.05),the hemostatic time and hospital stay were significantly shorter than that of the reference group (P<0.05),the average blood loss was significantly lower than that of the reference group (P<0.05),and the improvement of TNF-α,CRP,IL-6 and other inflammation levels was significantly better than that of the reference group (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache between two groups of patients (P>0.05).Conclusion:Octreotide combined with omeprazole has good results on upper gastrointestinal bleeding, which not only improves the effect of hemostasis, but also shortens the time of hemostasis, and does not significantly increase the adverse reactions.
