Clinical study of Shenzhe Zhenqi decoction in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with deficiency of both lung and kidney
Objective:To assess the efficacy of Shenzhe Zhenqi Decoction(SZD) for acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) with lung and kidney deficiency.Methods:Sixty AECOPD patients were randomly divided into two groups:control (conventional treatment) and observation (SZD plus conventional treatment).Results:After two weeks of treatment,The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05);The TCM syndrome scores and total scores of chest tightness,asthma,cough,phlegm white,low qi and lazy speech,and waist and knee soreness and weakness in both groups of patients decreased compared with before (P<0.05).The observation group had significantly lower scores and total scores than control group (P<0.05);Both groups of inflammatory indicators decreased compared to before (P<0.05),besides the observation group had significantly lower levels of CRP,IL-6,PCT,NLR,and Cys-C than control group (P<0.05);Moreover,compared with control group,the severity score of disease in observation group was significantly reduced (P<0.05).During treatment process both of the patients had no adverse drug reactions.Conclusion:SZD effectively treats AECOPD with lung and kidney deficiency,reducing inflammation and disease severity with a high safety profile.
