Objective:To explore the preventive effect of functional exercise combined with manual lymphatic drainage on upper limb lymphedema (BCRL) after breast cancer surgery,so as to guide the formulation of clinical intervention measures and promote clinical benefits for patients.Methods:80 patients with breast cancer admitted to hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups, each with 40 cases. The control group was given routine nursing combined with functional exercise.Based on this, the observation group was treated with manual lymphatic drainage for 4 weeks.BCRL incidence, edema degree, shoulder joint function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:The degree of BCRL in the observation group was less than that in the control group, and the incidence of BCRL was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).After intervention, the Constant-Murley shoulder joint score scale (CMS) increased in both groups, and the observation group was higher (P<0.05).After intervention,FACT-B scores of breast cancer patients in both groups were increased, and the observation group was higher (P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of functional exercise and manual lymphatic drainage can reduce the risk of BCRL,improve the shoulder function and improve the quality of life of patients with breast cancer after surgery.
