Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of operating room nursing interventions in reducing the postoperative infections in orthopedic surgery. Methods:This prospective randomized controlled trial included 100 orthopedic surgery patients, divided into an observation group and a control group, receiving comprehensive and standard care, respectively. Results:The study results showed that the postoperative infection rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The main type of infection was superficial wound infection,The average infection onset time was delayed in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The average postoperative hospitalization time of the observation group patients was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05),with the observation group also showing faster wound healing(P<0.01).Satisfaction rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.001).Conclusion:Systematic operating room nursing interventions significantly reduce the postoperative infections, shorten hospital stays, and enhance patient satisfaction, effectively optimizing postoperative care processes in orthopedics.
