Objective:To explore the application of Outcome-Based Education(OBE)model in medical laboratory intern teaching.Method:A total of 50 interns from our laboratory department from 2022 to 2023 were randomly divided into an OBE mode teaching group and a traditional teaching group, with 25 students in each group.Compare the differences in theoretical exam scores, practical hands on skills, film reading assessment scores, and comprehensive abilities between two groups of students who were trained using the Outcome Based Education(OBE)model and the traditional teaching model, respectively.Result:The students in the OBE mode teaching group were superior to those in the traditional teaching group in terms of theoretical exam scores, practical hands-on operation abilities, film reading assessment scores, and comprehensive abilities, with statistical differences(P<0.05).The satisfaction of comprehensive ability and students'teaching satisfaction were all higher than that of the traditional group. Conclusion:The OBE teaching model is effective in the teaching and training of laboratory medicine interns. It not only improves students'mastery of theoretical knowledge, but also enhances their comprehensive quality, achieving a two-way satisfaction between teaching and learning. It is worth promoting.
