Objective:To explore the risk factors of dental caries in children, and to analyze the correlation with children's dental fear(Dental Fear or Anxiety,DFA).Methods:128 children with dental caries admitted to Hefei Stomatological Hospital were selected as the observation objects, and 120 healthy children were selected as the control group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared with the scores of children's fear questionnaire(CFS-DS),and Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the risk factors of dental caries in children and their correlation with CDF.Results:There were statistical differences in breast-feeding time, snack taste preference, snack consumption, brushing teeth in the morning and evening, using fluoride toothpaste, regular oral examination, gargling after meals, streptococcus mutans and CFS-DS score between the two groups(all P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that breastfeeding time≥12 months, love of sweets,CFS-DS score≥32,and positive Streptococcus mutans were the risk factors of dental caries in children, while brushing teeth in the morning and evening, gargling after meals, using fluoride toothpaste and regular oral examination were the protective factors(all P<0.05).Conclusion:There are many risk factors affecting the prevalence of dental caries in children, among which CDF is an independent risk factor, and corresponding prevention and treatment measures should be formulated according to the influencing factors.
