Analysis of the status quo and influencing factors of dependence degree of out-of-hospital nursing in elderly patients with prostate cancer after surgery
Objective:To investigate the degree of out-of-hospital nursing dependency and its influencing factors in elderly patients after prostate cancer surgery, providing theoretical support for personalized nursing interventions. Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 112 elderly patients who underwent radical prostatectomy.Out-of-hospital nursing dependency was assessed using the Nursing Dependency Scale, while factors such as social support, psychological resilience, health literacy, and self-management ability were evaluated using validated scales.with univariate analysis and multiple linear regression applied to identify influencing factors. Results:The total score of out-of-hospital nursing dependency was 30.25±6.46,indicating a partial dependency state.Univariate analysis revealed that age, educational background, psychological resilience, social support,self-management ability, and health literacy significantly influenced the degree of nursing dependency(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression further identified these factors as independent predictors of nursing dependency(P<0.05).Conclusion:The degree of out-of-hospital nursing dependency in elderly patients after prostate cancer surgery is influenced by multiple factors.Healthcare providers should develop individualized nursing plans incorporating psychological interventions, health education, and enhanced social support to reduce dependency, improve patients'quality of life, and promote postoperative rehabilitation.
