As an excellent form of cultural memory, folk songs have been widely accepted and sung by the masses of working people due to their distinct aesthetic and cultural appeal. Anhui folk songs have a profound cultural heritage and diverse styles. The classic repertoire has been sung so far,it reflects the development of revolution, labour and daily life of the people in Jianghuai district. This paper attempts to interpret the red history from the perspective of folk songs, fully sort out and excavate the classical Anhui folk songs from different historical periods in more than hundred-year struggle of the Communist Party of China. Through these songs, it records the changes of the times, and narrates the glorious history. It artistically shows the great journey of the CPC in navigating the new era from nonexistence to existence, from small to large, from weak to strong.
