Integrating ideological and political education with professional curriculum education is a new task and challenge faced by the reform of professional curriculum teaching under the current situation. The paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of implementing ideological and political education in the core course of Business English Intensive Reading. Taking the Business English Intensive Reading course as an example, it explores the ideological and political principles of the course, categorizes the course content, deeply excavates the ideological and political elements contained in the textbook and integrating into practical teaching. By introducing cases for ideological and political education teaching design, it showcases Chinese elements, promotes professional spirit, establishes professional ethic, and enhances cultural confidence. The final curriculum goal is to achieve the combination of knowledge goals, skill development, and value guidance, providing reference for business English teaching reform.
