By using the modified gravity model and social network analysis methods, the paper analyzes the domestic tourism economic connections and networks in the Yangtze River Delta Region from 2010 to 2020. The results show that: (1) The strength and total amount of domestic tourism economic links in the Yangtze River Delta Region form a pattern of "high in the middle and low in the north and south", with significant differences. Among them, Anhui Province has seen rapid growth in the total volume of domestic tourism economic connections, and Zhejiang Province became the region most closely connected to other areas within the domain in 2020;(2) The network of domestic tourism economic connections in the Yangtze River Delta Region is "dense in the middle and sparse at both ends", gradually reaching a balanced state after 2015; (3) The network of domestic tourism economic connections in the Yangtze River Delta Region can be divided into five cohesive subgroups, namely, the southeastern subgroup, the central subgroup, the central-western subgroup, the northeastern subgroup and the northwestern subgroup. Finally, the paper puts forward optimization strategies to construct five major development clusters, enhance Shanghai's support for domestic tourism development in Anhui Province and optimize regional transportation.
