TCM Diagnosis and Treatment of Painful Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy based on Collateral Disease Theory
With the development of human society, the number of diabetic patients is increasing day by day,and the incidence of diabetes-related complications is also rising.Among them, painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which has the highest disability rate, accounts for about 1/3 of the diabetic population. The main clinical manifestation of painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy is pain, which seriously affects the patient's quality of life and blood sugar lev-els.At the same time, the pain symptoms are also aggravated by poor quality of life or poor blood sugar control.There-fore,intervening in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy to relieve pain and improve efficacy is an urgent problem to be solved in the clinical treatment of diabetic patients. At present, painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy is still an under-diagnosed and under-treated disease. In recent years, studies have found that the theory of collateral disease in traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in preventing and treating painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. As early as the Qing Dynasty,Ye Tianshi The"Clinical Guidelines for Medical Records"put forward the theories of"long-term pain entering the collaterals","the blockage of Qi and blood in the collaterals will lead to death but pain",and"the pungency in the collaterals is used to release it,and the channeling is used to relieve it"and other theories.Later generations inherited and innovated his theoretical ideas, and their clinical applications became increasingly ma-ture.Based on the theory of collateral disease, this article intends to explore the application of the traditional Chinese medicine theory of"collaterals release pungent elements"in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy, analyze its efficacy and advantages, and provide certain reference ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
