Analysis of the Patterns of Medication used in the Treatment of Depression by Modern Xin'an Physicians
Objective:By collecting and analyzing the medical records and prescriptions of modern Xin'an physi-cians,we explore the characteristics of modern Xin'an physicians'medication for depression syndrome,and provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of depression syndrome.Methods:Through retrieval,medical records and prescrip-tions related to the treatment of depression syndrome by modern Xin'an physicians were collected and sorted,and fre-quency statistics,association rules and cluster analysis were conducted using Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform V2.5(TCMISS V2.5).Results:A total of 154 TCM prescriptions were included in the study,involv-ing 259 traditional Chinese medicines.The top 10 were white peony root,wild jujube kernel,Huaimai wheat,Polygala root,Bupleurum root,salvia miltiorrhiza,bamboo root,dried tangerine peel,green calyx plum,and Coptidis rhizome.Most of the medicinal properties were warming.,cold,flat,the medicinal taste is mainly bitter,pungent,and sweet,and is mostly attributed to the liver,spleen,stomach,and heart meridians.37 highly correlated rules were found,with the most frequent ones being Ziziphus jujuba kernel-Polygala,Polygala jujube-Huaimai,Polygala polygala-Huaimai,etc.Cluster analysis revealed 26 core drug combinations and 9 new prescriptions.Conclusion:It is found that modern Xin'an medical practitioners have strict compatibility of medicines and are good at treating depression syndrome ac-companied by insomnia,restlessness,anorexia,epigastric discomfort and other concurrent symptoms,which can provide certain reference basis for the clinical differentiation of depression syndrome.
