Discussion on Acupuncture Point Selection of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease based on"Reinforcing Earth to Generate Metal" and Intestinal Micro-ecology
Intestinal micro-ecology plays an important role in the body's defense against infection, regulation of immunity and metabolism, and is closely related to chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). Acupuncture has good efficacy in regulating intestinal flora and preventing and treating COPD. This article starts with the ancient lit-erature and modern research literature on acupuncture improving intestinal flora and preventing and treating COPD, and summarizes the acupoint selection rules for clinical acupuncture treatment of this disease. Further explore the idea of acupuncture point selection under the guidance of the theory of cultivating soil to generate metal. The acupoints of Hand Taiyin, Foot Taiyin and Foot Yangming meridian are selected clinically to regulate the function of the spleen and stomach, supplemented by nourishing the lungs, lung, spleen and Weishu to regulate the lungs and spleen. Dingchuan, Tanzhong and Zhongwan can relieve Qi and relieve asthma. Taiyuan and Taibai acupoints are selected based on the theory of the five elements' mutual development, and are combined with systemic syndromes to match acupoints ac-cording to the syndrome (disease).
