CHEN Xingsheng's Experience in the Treatment of Ischemic Vertigo in the Posterior Circulation with Theelongated Needle and Nape Cluster Acupuncture
Posterior circulation ischemia is a common disease in encephalology departments with a high incidence rate. The article describes Chief Physician CHEN Xingsheng's experience in treating posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. The Du meridian is the sea of yang veins, which travels into the brain. It is believed that acupuncture of the Du meridian with awning needles can invigorate the yang energy of the whole body, unblock the Du meridian, regulate the mind, dredge the meridians, and reconcile Qi and blood. Based on the principle of "locating where there is", acupunc-ture at local acupuncture points can clear the meridians of the neck, which can warm yang and dispel cold, activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. The combination of the two acupuncture therapies can jointly treat posterior circulation ischemic vertigo, with high clinical efficacy.
