Clinical Observation on Soothing the Liver and Strengthening the Spleen Acupuncture in the Treatment of Diarrhea Due to Liver Stagnation and Spleen Deficiency after Cholecystectomy
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of soothing the liver and invigorating the spleen acupuncture in the treatment of diarrhea due to liver stagnation and spleen deficiency after cholecystectomy. Methods: The study included 62 patients with post-cholecystectomy diarrhea of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type who were ad-mitted to Changsha Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2020 to January 2023. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Bifidobacterium triple live bacteria capsules, and the observation group was treated with soothing liver and spleen acupuncture on the basis of the control group. After 3 weeks of treatment, the efficacy of the two groups was compared, including stool frequency, stool volume, stool character scores and scores before and after treatment. Changes in TCM syndrome scores, changes in serum gastrin and vasoactive intestinal peptide index levels before and after treatment. Results: The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group; after treatment, the observation group's stool frequency, defecation volume, stool character score, and TCM syndrome score were all lower than those of the control group; after treatment, the observation group's serum gastrin and vasoac-tive intestinal peptide The index levels were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion: Soothing the liver and invigorating the spleen acupuncture can accelerate the recovery of intes-tinal function in patients with liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type diarrhea after cholecystectomy, reduce diar-rhea symptoms while regulating gastrointestinal hormone indicators, and has definite efficacy.
