Observation on the Efficacy of External Application of Dahuang Glauber's Salt Powder on the Elbow in the Treatment of Postoperative Swelling and Pain in Children with Gartland Type Ⅱ Supracondylar Humeral Fracture.
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of external application of Dahuang Glauber's Salt Powder on the elbow as an auxiliary treatment for postoperative swelling and pain in children with Gartland type Ⅱ supracondylar humeral fracture. Methods: 51 children with Gartland type Ⅱ supracondylar humeral fractures treated with closed re-duction and Kirschner wire internal fixation in Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as research subjects and randomly divided into observation group (30 cases) and control group (21 cases). Routine treatment was carried out, and the observation group was treated with Rhubarb Glauber's Salt Powder for external application on the elbow. The pain scores, elbow joint swelling, hospitalization days, and postoperative complications of the two groups were observed before surgery, 3 days after surgery, and 6 days after surgery. disease. Results: The pain scores, elbow joint swelling, and hospitalization days in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group on the 3rd and 6th days after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant; tension blisters were found in 2 cases of postoperative elbow pain in the control group, while no cases occurred in the observation group.
