Pathogenesis of Thyroid Nodule Growth Induced by High Estrogen Level and Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment
Thyroid nodule is a common endocrine disease in women. In recent years, the detection rate of thyroid nodule also increased year by year. Epidemiological surveys show that the prevalence of thyroid nodules is much higher in women than men. The relationship between estrogen and thyroid nodules has become a focus of research because of the difference of male and female ratio. Studies have found that estrogen can promote the proliferation of thyroid cells, thus promoting the growth of thyroid nodules. The aim of this study was to explore the mechanism of Chinese and west-ern medicine on the growth of benign thyroid nodules, in order to provide theoretical basis and new ideas for future re-search, diagnosis and treatment.
