'Taking thin as beauty ' has become the mainstream aesthetics at present, and improper weight loss meth-ods have emerged in an endless stream, resulting in an increasing incidence of amenorrhea after dieting. In view of this phenomenon, this paper attempts to explain the pathogenesis and treatment of amenorrhea after dieting on the basis of understanding the theory of ' circular flow of qi ', so as to make more accurate selection of treatment based on the diffe rential diagnosis.Huang Yuanyu, a famous doctor in the Qing Dynasty, put forward the theory of circular flow of qi. He believes that the left rise and right fall of the middle Qi is the basic form of the operation of the human Qi machine, and menstruation is the result and embodiment of the circulation of the middle Qi. Through research, the following main conclusions are obtained : The deficiency of spleen and stomach leading to the lack of source of transport is the starting point of this disease. Liver wood stagnation is the key to the pathogenesis. Kidney deficiency, water cold, spleen defi-ciency and dampness stagnation are important links in development. The treatment principle is based on solid protec-tion of the spleen and stomach ; tonifying the kidney yang to help the left ascending wheel ; passing wood gas to smooth emotions ; Examinating of diagnosis seeking reasons, and promoting qi and blood circulation.
