Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Recurrent Advanced Nasopharyngeal Cancer with Yiqi Yangyin Decoction Combined with Tereprimab and GP regimen
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Yiqi Yangyin Decoction combined with toripali-mab and GP regimen (gemcitabine + cisplatin) in the treatment of patients with recurrent advanced nasopharyngeal car-cinoma. Methods: 60 patients with recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma who met the criteria in our hospital were select-ed and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was given toripalimab combined with GP chemotherapy, and the observation group was given Yiqi Yangyin Decoction for oral administration on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 12 weeks. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, adverse reactions, and peripheral blood T lymphocyte levels were compared between the 2 groups. Results: The ORR of the observation group was 76.7% compared with 70.0% of the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05); after treatment, the scores of all TCM syndromes in the observa-tion group decreased (P<0.05), and the scores of all TCM syndromes in the control group decreased (P<0.05). Symptom scores were all increased (P<0.05), and the observation group was lower than the control group after treatment (P<0.05); the incidence rates of leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, anorexia, rash, and liver and kidney dysfunction in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group group (P<0.05); after treatment, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in group 2 were higher than before treatment (P<0.05), and CD8+ were lower than before treatment (P<0.05); and in the observa-tion group, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ after treatment were higher than In the control group, CD8+ was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Yiqi Yangyin decoction combined with toripalimab and GP regimen chemotherapy is effective in treating patients with recurrent advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma of Qi and Yin deficiency type. It can improve TCM symptoms, enhance immune function, and reduce adverse reactions. Security is good.
