Observation on the Clinical Efficacy of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined with UBE in the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Taohong Siwu decoction in the treatment of Unilateral biportal endoscopic(UBE) for lumbar disc herniation. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 82 patients with lumbar disc herniation meeting surgical indications from June 2021 to June 2022, among which 43 patients in the control group were treated with UBE surgery, and 39 patients in the observation group were treated with modified Taohong Siwu decoction after UBE surgery.Clinical efficacy,VAS and JOA scores before and after treatment were compared be-tween the two groups.CRP, D-dimer,Hb values and incidence of adverse reactions. Results:There was no significant dif-ference in VAS score and JOA score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),both indexes were improved in two groups after treatment, and the improvement degree of observation group was better than control group at correspond-ing time points(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in CRP,D-dimer and Hb values between two groups before treatment(P>0.05),there was no statistically significant difference in the values of three indexes between the two groups before oral administration of Chinese medicine after surgery(P>0.05),after two weeks, the laboratory indexes of both groups were improved, and the improvement degree of observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the excellent rate and the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups after treatment(P>0.05)Conclusion: Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction can expedite postoperative rehabilitation, enhance therapeutic efficacy, and does not elevate the incidence of adverse reactions.
