Effect of External Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined with Acupuncture on Cancer Pain in Patients with Lung Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy
Objective: To explore the clinical effect of external application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture on cancer pain in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: Patients diagnosed with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy were randomly divided into control group (99 cases) and study group (100 cases) for 4 weeks. The indexes of the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate of pain relief in the study group was higher than that in the control group. After 1~4 weeks of treatment, the score of pain digital evalua-tion scale was lower than that of control group. The number of pain outbreaks during treatment was less than that in the control group;After 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes and the levels of various serum pain-related factors were lower than those of the control group. Karnofsky score and quality of life score were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: External application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture can effectively relieve pain, reduce the number of pain outbreaks, improve TCM syndromes, reduce the level of pain-related factors and improve physical health and quality of life.
