Refractory cough is a common and difficult disease in clinical practice, with unsatisfactory therapeutic effects. Western medicine focuses mainly on symptomatic and etiological treatment, with average results. The etiology and pathogenesis of this disease in traditional Chinese medicine are diverse and complex , and the treatment is dif-ficult. Simply treating it from the lung is often not ideal, and the therapeutic effect is not ideal. Professor FENG Peiyin, guided by the theory of "fire stagnation", believes that "fire stagnation" is the core pathogenesis of refractory cough and the key to prolonged and recurrent attacks. It is advocated that phlegm heat refers to "stagnant fire" or "stagnant heat", which is invisible or tangible phlegm that suppresses fire or heat inside, preventing fire heat from penetrating outside and sticking to phlegm inside. The principle and method of treatment are "the occurrence of fire stagnation", which means clearing heat and transforming phlegm, unblocking the Qi mechanism, and allowing the stagnation heat to penetrate and resolve externally.Under the guidance of this theory, Professor FENG Peiyin created Jinli cough relieving granules. Jinli Zhike Granule is a model of clearing heat and pathogens, spreading Qi, and promoting lung Qi. Its thera-peutic effect is reliable, safe, and non-toxic, and it is fully recognized by patients.
