Comprehensive efficacy evaluation with TOPSIS method in the treatment of male Hepatolenticular Degeneration combined with reproductive damage by Gandou Bushen Tang
Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the Gandou Bushen Tang (GDBST) in male Hepatolen-ticular Degeneration (HLD) combined with reproductive damage using the Technique for Order Preference by Similar-ity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. Methods: Based on pre-developed HLD clinical efficacy evaluation system, an expert questionnaire was developed through a clinical survey and literature study of male HLD combined with repro-ductive damage. The Delphi method assigned the outcome indicators weights to determine the weight coefficients. Sixty male patients with HLD combined with reproductive damage were randomly divided into 30 cases each in the control group and the experimental group. Control group: conventional copper-chelating treatment (250ml of 5% glucose in-jection + sodium dimercaptopropane sulfonate injection, 20mg/kg/d, once daily for 6 consecutive days. During the in-termission, calcium gluconate injection was used to supplement calcium for 2 consecutive days). Experimental group: based on the control group, GDBST was given (1 dose per day, divided in the morning and evening). Course of treat-
