Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application and Massage on Postoperative Qi Stagnation Constipation of Mixed Hemorrhoids
Objective: To observe the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application and massage in the treatment of 36 patients with qi stagnation constipation after mixed hemorrhoid surgery at Chuzhou City Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital in Anhui Province. Methods: 72 patients with constipation due to qi stagnation after mixed hemorrhoid surgery were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 36 cases in each group. The control group was treated with lactulose, while the observation group was treated with tra-ditional Chinese medicine acupoint application and massage. The first defecation interval, emptying time and pain level during defecation were compared between the two groups of patients, as well as abdominal distension, anorexia scores and clinical efficacy before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the first defecation interval and emptying time of the patients in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). The pain level, postoperative abdominal distension, and anorexia symptom scores of the patients in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the clinical efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The use of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application and massage to treat Qi stagnation constipation after mixed hemorrhoid surgery can quickly alleviate the problem of dry and hard stools, shorten the time for stool emptying, relieve pain during defecation, and is helpful for patients after mixed hemor-rhoid surgery. The recovery of abdominal bloating, anorexia and other symptoms has outstanding effects on constipation caused by Qi stagnation after mixed hemorrhoid surgery.
