Discussion on the Role of Connexin in Tumor Microenvironment based on the Theory of Cancer Toxin Pathogenesis
Connexins were previously thought to be encoded by tumor suppressor genes,but more and more studies have gradually confirmed its cancer-promoting properties,especially in advanced cancer.Based on the theory of cancer toxin pathogenesis,this paper analyzes the similar correlation between the promoting role of connexin in tumor micro-environment and the pathogenic characteristics and functions of cancer toxin,and holds that connexin promotes tumor metastasis and strengthens the resistance of tumor cells to treatment,which is the key pathological mechanism of can-cer toxin flowing and lingering,and connexin maintains tumor acidity and blood stasis micro-environment,which is the important biological basis of"retention of phlegm poison"and"stagnation of blood stasis poison",which is expected to provide useful reference and basis for further enriching the scientific connotation of the theory of cancer toxin patho-genesis and explaining the close relationship between tumor micro-environment and cancer toxin pathogenesis.
