The Effect of Thunder-fire Moxibustion Combined with Auricular Acupuncture on the Prevention and Treatment of Toxic and Side Effects of Chemotherapy for Colorectal Cancer and the Improvement of Cancer Pain in Patients
Objective:To observe the effects of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with auricular acupuncture on the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy toxic and side effects of colorectal cancer and the improvement of can-cer pain and sleep quality in patients.Methods:116 colorectal cancer patients who were hospitalized in our hospital between January 2020 and June 2022 who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a reference group(58 cases)and a combination group(58 cases)according to the random number table method.The reference group was treated with chemotherapy drugs,and the combination group was treated with thunder-fire moxibustion combined with auricular acupuncture on the basis of chemotherapy.Compare the clinical efficacy,chemotherapy toxic and side effects,blood cell levels[white blood cells(WBC),hemoglobin(Hb),platelet(PLT),lymphocyte count(TLC)],before and after treat-ment between the two groups Cancer pain level assessed by visual analog scales(VAS),cancer-related fatigue(CRF)assessed by Piper fatigue fcale-revised(PFS-R),sleep quality assessed by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Results:The ORR and DCR of the combination group were 82.76%and 100.00%,compared with 68.97%and 91.38%of the reference group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);gastrointestinal reactions,anemia,and bone marrow suppression in the combination group after treatment,the incidence of neurotoxicity were lower than those of the reference group(P<0.05);the TLC,PLT,WBC,and Hb levels of the combination group after treatment were higher than those of the reference group(P<0.05);the VAS,PFS-R,and PSQI scores of the combination group after treatment It was lower than before treatment and lower than that of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Thunder-fire moxibustion combined with auricular acupuncture can reduce the occurrence of toxic and side effects in patients with colorectal cancer after chemotherapy,shrink the lesions,relieve patients'cancer pain,improve sleep quality,im-prove physical fatigue,and facilitate recovery.
