Effects of Mindfulness-based Decompression Therapy Combined with Traditional Chinese Emotional Nursing on Perceived Stress and Compliance Behavior of Patients with Gastrointestinal Cancer after Surgery
Objective:To explore the application value of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine emotional care in gastrointestinal cancer surgery.Methods:384 patients after gastrointes-tinal cancer surgery from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected and divided into conventional group(n=192)and mindfulness-based stress reduction group(n=192)according to the order of admission.Both groups received rou-tine Nursing,the conventional group received traditional Chinese medicine emotional care on the basis of routine nurs-ing,and the mindfulness-based stress reduction group received mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy on the ba-sis of the conventional group.Both groups were intervened for 3 months.The gastrointestinal function,perceived stress(Chinese version of Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS)),medical compliance behavior,and quality of life[Quality of Life Scale(GQOL-74)]were compared between the 2 groups.Results:The mindfulness-based stress reduction group's anal exhaust,bowel sound recovery,defecation,and eating time were all shorter than those in the conventional group(P<0.05);compared with before the intervention,the CPSS scores of each group were significantly lower after the intervention,and the mindfulness-based stress reduction group The improvement was more significant(P<0.05);after the interven-tion,the mindfulness-based stress reduction group's medical compliance scores such as compliance with medication,healthy diet,appropriate exercise,and follow-up visits on time increased more than those of the conventional group(P<0.05);compared with before the intervention,the GQOL-74 scores of each group increased significantly,and the mindfulness-based stress reduction group improved more significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing mindful-ness-based stress reduction therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine emotional care for patients after gas-trointestinal cancer surgery can reduce perceived stress,improve medical compliance behavior,improve gastrointestinal function,and improve quality of life.
