Expression of Prostaglandin E2 in Gingivitis During Pregnancy and the Intervention Effect of Qingre Antai Ointment
Objective:To establish a SD rat model of pregnancy gingivitis and observe the effect of Qingre Antai paste on the expression of prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in pregnancy gingivitis.Methods:According to the randomiza-tion principle,18 SPF SD female rats were divided into a blank group,a model group,and a Chinese medicine group,with 6 rats in each group.The body weights of the three groups of rats were recorded.The blank group:The rats were conceived routinely under anesthesia with 10%chloral hydrate intraperitoneal injection,but no treatment was given;the control group:The rats were induced to have experimental gingivitis by using the ligation method+10%sucrose water under anesthesia with 10%chloral hydrate intraperitoneal injection.The Chinese medicine group:The rats were induced to have experimental gingivitis by using the ligation method+10%sucrose water under anesthesia with 10%chloral hydrate intraperitoneal injection,and the gingival sulcus was filled with Qingre Antai paste after successful conception.After conception,the three groups of rats were separated into separate cages,and the three groups of rats were allowed to conceive naturally until the birth of offspring rats.The number and weight of each newborn rat were recorded.The ELISA method was used to detect the PGE2 level in the gingival crevicular fluid of the three groups of rats at each stage.The gingival index(GI)and the weight,number and litter weight of the newborn rats were recorded,and the therapeutic effect of Qingre Antai Paste was compared.Results:After the Chinese medicine group was treated with Qingre Antai Paste,the clinical GI was reduced compared with the model group,and the expression of PGE2 in the gingival crevicular fluid was downregulated(P<0.05).Conclusion:Qingre Antai Paste was used to treat rats with gingi-vitis during pregnancy,and the redness and swelling of the gums of the rats were significantly relieved,the GI score was reduced,and the expression of PGE2 in the gingival crevicular fluid was downregulated,and the therapeutic effect was significant.
