Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome based on the Combination of Acupoints in Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Theory
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of acupoint combination therapy based on TCM constitution in the treatment of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome. Methods:A total of 90 patients with chronic fatigue syn-drome were divided into an observation group and a control group according to the random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received acupuncture at Baihui,Yintang,Guanyuan,Zusanli,Sanyinjiao, and Taichong. The observation group selected acupoints corresponding to patients with different constitutions based on the acupoint selection of the control group.Acupuncture treatment was performed every other day in both groups,3 times as a course of treatment, and 5 courses of treatment were continued. After the treatment, the clinical symptom scores,fa-tigue scale scores, clinical efficacy and other indicators of the two groups were compared. Results:A total of 87 patients were actually completed in this clinical study, including 43 cases in the observation group and 44 cases in the control group. After treatment, the clinical symptom scores and fatigue scale scores of the two groups of patients were improved(P<0.05);the clinical symptom scores and fatigue scale scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);the cure rate and total effective rate of the observation group were higher than those of the con-trol group(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion:Based on the guidance of TCM constitution, the clinical symptom scores and fatigue scale scores of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome can be improved more significantly by acupuncture, and the cure rate and total effective rate are higher, which can effectively improve the clinical efficacy.
