Prevention and Treatment of Perimenopausal Syndrome based on the Theory of "Five States"
Perimenopausal syndrome is a common physical and mental disease in women. Mental symptoms mainly characterized by anxiety and depression and physical symptoms mainly characterized by menstrual disorders,vasomo-tor symptoms,and autonomic nervous system disorders jointly affect women's quality of life. Holistic concept is one of the core ideas of traditional Chinese medicine. The theory of Yin and Yang "Five-state people" in the "Inner Canon of Medicine" fully reflects this idea. According to the bias of Yin and Yang,people are divided into five types:Taiyin people,Shaoyin people,Taiyang people,Shaoyang people,and people with balanced Yin and Yang. The physiological and psychological characteristics of each type,as well as disease susceptibility,are revealed. This article applies the theory of "Five-state people" to the prevention and treatment of perimenopausal syndrome,combines body identifica-tion,disease identification,and syndrome differentiation and treatment,and explores new ideas for the clinical treat-ment of perimenopausal syndrome.
