Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine WEI Guikang's Experience in Treating Early and Middle Stage Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy
Spinal cervical spondylotic myelopathy is generally considered to be the most serious type of cervical spondylotic disease. Mild symptoms include numbness, weakness, burning sensation, and a feeling of stepping on cot-ton;severe symptoms include incontinence and even paralysis. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in treating mild to moderate CSM. This article is based on Professor WEI Guikang's empirical prescription "Spinal Cord Health" combined with WEI's manipulation, taking both internal and external factors into consideration, and giving equal weight to tendons and bones. Manipulative treatment is based on the triple therapy of "regulating tendons,regu-lating bones, and treating symptoms". Chinese medicine internal administration focuses on "Tonifying the kidney and activating blood circulation, unblocking the meridians and removing blood stasis" in order to summarize the experience and characteristics of Professor WEI Guikang,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,in using Spinal Cord Health combined with manipulation to treat early and middle-stage CSM,and to open up treatment methods and ideas for the treatment of this disease with traditional Chinese medicine combined with manipulation.
