Xijiao Dihuang Decoction is a commonly used classic prescription for clinical treatment of allergic pur-pura with blood-heat syndrome,and its main effects are clearing away heat and detoxification,cooling blood and dis-persing blood stasis. The author traced the origin of Xijiao Dihuang Decoction,starting from its main indications and the characteristics of the pathogenesis of allergic purpura in traditional Chinese medicine,and deeply explored the characteristics of Xijiao Dihuang Decoction in treating allergic purpura with blood-heat syndrome;and analyzed its compatibility characteristics,its application by modern doctors and modern pharmacological research,and clarified the possible mechanism of action of Xijiao Dihuang Decoction in treating allergic purpura with blood-heat syndrome,so as to better guide clinical practice.
