Based on Respiratory Specialist Nurse-led Pulmonary Rehabilitation Model to Explore the Effect of Comprehensive Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Appropriate Techniques on COPD patients
Objective:To explore the effect of comprehensive application of appropriate TCM techniques in the pul-monary rehabilitation model led by respiratory specialist nurses on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods:One hundred COPD patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. The control group received basic COPD drug treatment, and the responsible nurses cooperated with non-drug treatments such as health education and respiratory function training. On the basis of the control group,a TCM pulmonary rehabilitation treatment team led by specialist nurses was formed in the observation group, and appropriate TCM techniques such as Linggui Bafa acupoint application,Huolong moxibustion and Liuzi Jue were used according to syndrome differentiation. The symptom control assessment,FEV1%,6MWD,CAT,acute exac-erbation frequency scores, and comprehensive efficacy scores and satisfaction of the two groups were compared before treatment,at the third month of treatment, and at the sixth month of follow-up. Results:At the third month of treatment and the sixth month of follow-up,the symptom control evaluation,FEV1%,6MWD,CAT,and acute exacerbation scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group. The satisfaction of the two groups at the third month of treatment and the comprehensive efficacy evaluation at the sixth month were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:The TCM pulmonary rehabilitation model led by respiratory specialist nurses is helpful to improve the clinical symptoms, lung function and exercise ca-pacity of COPD patients, reduce the number of acute attacks, and improve the quality of life and patient satisfaction.
