The Clinical Application of Bushen Huoxue Decotion and Bazhen Decotion in Intertrochanteric Femoral Fractures
Objective:To observe the clinical application of Chinese herbal compound Bushen Huoxue Decoction combined with Bazhen Decoction in intertrochanteric fracture of the femur. Methods:A total of 90 patients with inter-trochanteric fracture of the femur who met the criteria were selected and divided into a control group (45 cases) and an experimental group (45 cases) according to a random number table. All cases in the control group underwent proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail (PFNA) internal fixation,and received routine comprehensive treatment such as postoperative prevention of infection and thrombosis. The experimental group was given oral Chinese herbal com-pound after surgery on the basis of the treatment of the observation group. The perioperative hospital stay,postopera-tive visual analog pain (VAS) score,hip Harris score,fibrinogen,D-dimer,and postoperative average fracture healing time,bone mineral density,and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results:A total of 41 cases in the experimental group and 43 cases in the control group were included in the study. The levels of various indica-tors in the experimental group before surgery and at the 3-day follow-up after surgery were comparable to those in the control group (P>0.05),but the average hospital stay and fracture healing time in the experimental group were signifi-cantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Although there was no significant difference in the VAS scores between the two groups at the final 3-month follow-up after surgery,the VAS scores in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group at the 1-week and 1-month follow-up after surgery (P<0.05),and the Harris scores in the experimental group at 1-week,1-month,and 3-month follow-up after surgery were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05). In terms of laboratory indicators,the D-dimer and fibrinogen levels in the experimental group at 1-week and 1-month after surgery were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the bone density values measured at the 6-month follow-up after surgery were also significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05). During the overall follow-up,a total of 12 cases in the control group had complications,while only 4 cases in the experimental group had complications,and the incidence of complications in the experimental group was also significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclu-sion:In the surgical treatment of intertrochanteric fracture,based on the fracture differentiation theory,oral adminis-tration of Chinese medicine Bushen Huoxue Decoction combined with Bazhen Decoction after surgery can shorten the hospital stay,effectively relieve the patient's perioperative pain,better reshape the patient's hip joint function,im-prove the patient's postoperative hypercoagulable state,reduce the incidence of postoperative complications,delay the further aggravation of osteoporosis,and further promote fracture healing.
