Progress of PI3K/AKT/NF-κB Signaling Pathway in the Regulation of OSA
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a chronic disease characterized by frequent hypoxemia and hypercap-nia at night. In recent years, the incidence of OSA has been on the rise, which has attracted the attention of many schol-ars. At present,it is believed that the occurrence of OSA is closely related to pathological and physiological changes such as oxidative stress and inflammatory response. The PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signaling pathway plays an important role in regulating inflammatory response, oxidative stress, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine can effectively improve oxida-tive stress and inflammatory response by regulating the expression of the PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signaling pathway, and has achieved remarkable results. This article describes the specific mechanism of the PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signaling pathway in regulating OSA and the current research status of traditional Chinese medicine in regulating this pathway, providing new ideas for the treatment of OSA with traditional Chinese medicine.
