The Pathogenesis and Treatment of Sick Sinus Syndrome based on the Theory of"Subsidence of Pectoral Qi"
Sick Sinus Syndrome is a syndrome characterized by slow heart rate, decreased exercise tolerance, and insufficient blood supply to multiple important organs. There is no specific drug to treat it.The theory of"atmosphere collapse"was proposed by ZHANG Xichun,a representative of the modern Chinese and Western medicine school.Atmosphere controls the circulation of Qi and blood throughout the body, controls breathing and heartbeat, and is par-ticularly closely related to the heart and lungs. If the atmosphere collapses, the normal function of the heart and lungs will not be maintained, and pathological manifestations such as shortness of breath, palpitations, and fatigue will oc-cur.Based on the theory of"atmosphere collapse",this article explains the pathogenesis and treatment of sick sinus syndrome. It is believed that atmospheric depletion and dysfunction of transportation are the basis of the disease, blood stasis and obstruction of mediation are the key links, atmospheric collapse and lack of heart attachment are the core pathogenesis, and atmospheric decay and loss of Yin and Yang are the serious manifestations of the disease. The basic principle of treatment is to replenish Qi,raise yang and lift the sunken. At the same time, according to the physiologi-cal characteristics of"Qi"and the different stages of the disease, corresponding treatment methods are given, such as strengthening the Zhongzhou to generate the source of Qi,warming Yang and removing blood stasis to promote the flow of Qi,lifting lightly to restore the position of Qi,and regulating Yin and Yang to consolidate the foundation of Qi.
