Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia with Acupuncture Combined with Auricular Point based on the Theory of"Lifting Pot and Uncovering"
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with auricular points in the treat-ment of benign prostatic hyperplasia based on the theory of"lifting pot and uncovering".Methods:A total of 100 pa-tients with benign prostatic hyperplasia treated in our hospital from October 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 50 cases in both.The control group was given finas-teride,and the treatment group was treated with acupuncture combined with auricular points on the basis of the con-trol group.The clinical efficacy,IPSS score,QoL score,TCM main symptom score and secondary symptom score and safety evaluation were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group,the total clinical ef-fective rate of the treatment group was 98.00％higher(P＜0.05),the IPSS score,QoL score,TCM syndrome main and secondary scores were lower(P＜0.05),and the incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups,P＞0.05.Conclusion:The combination of acupuncture and auricular points based on the theory of"lifting pot and un-covering"has good efficacy and safety in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia,and can be used as an effective auxiliary treatment.
