Analysis of the Current Status of Practice for Traditional Chinese Medicine physicians with Expertise in Anhui Province
Objective:To research and analyze the current practice status of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)physicians with expertise in Anhui Province and to propose policy recommendations.Methods:The study targeted indi-viduals who passed the assessment,conducting statistical analysis on their practice registration status,and descriptive analysis through on-site interviews with practitioners,medical institutions,administrative departments,and patients.Results:A total of 628 individuals have completed their practice registration.The most registered diseases are mus-cle injury,gastric pain,and menstrual disorders.Among the registered practitioners,428 are affiliated with existing medical institutions,200 have established personal record-based TCM clinics,and 90.76%are in primary medical institutions.Among the 241 who have not completed registration,74.77%hold other types of medical practitioner cer-tificates.Recommendations:Explore specific measures to resolve registration conflicts to create positive conditions for integrated TCM and Western medicine treatment.Explore diverse forms of pre-job training and continuing education for TCM practitioners with expertise,and strengthen supervision and management of personal record-based clinics.
