Professor WEI Qinglin has been engaged in clinical work for more than 30 years and has rich clinical ex-perience.He has unique insights into the diagnosis and treatment of sarcopenia in the elderly.Professor WEI believes that this disease is a degenerative disease in the elderly.For such patients,the etiology should be explored from the as-pects of congenital,acquired,trauma,tuberculosis,etc.,and the syndrome should be differentiated from the spleen and kidney.Taking Yin and Yang as the main line,a new idea of comprehensive intervention of acupuncture,medicine and moxibustion is proposed to replenish Qi,treat deficiency and protect the root,taking into account the prevention and adjustment of patients'diet and functional training.It reflects the integrated treatment idea of early syndrome differen-tiation intervention,prevention and treatment,which is worth promoting.
