Professor BAO Yuancheng(1945 to present)is a national famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor and the first famous teacher of Anhui Province.He has been engaged in medical teaching and research on brain diseases for more than 50 years.Professor BAO believes that the basic pathogenesis of headache is the obstruction of meridians,disor-der of spirit,and poor clear orifices.Its common syndromes can be divided into two categories:internal injury and external infection.External infection can be divided into cold,heat and rheumatism;internal injury headache can be divided into liver yang,kidney deficiency,blood deficiency,phlegm turbidity and blood stasis headache.The treatment of wind and cold,heat and dampness,liver and Yang,kidney and Qi tonification,blood stasis and orifices is very effective.
