Exploring the Point Selection Pattern of Acupuncture for Balance Disorders based on Data Mining
Objective:To explore the acupoint selection rules for acupuncture treatment of balance disorders by us-ing data mining technology.Methods:The literature on acupuncture treatment of balance disorders was searched from the self-built database to June 2023 in CNKI,SinoMed,Wanfang Academic Journal Database(Wanfang),VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),and PubMed.The acupoints that met the requirements in the litera-ture were entered into a Microsoft Excel 2021 software table to establish a database of acupoint frequency,meridians,specific acupoints,distribution sites,etc.for acupuncture treatment of balance disorders.SPSS Modeler 18.0 Apriori algorithm,SPSS Statistics 25.0 and SPSS modeler 18.0 Web complex network were used to perform association rule analysis and Ward cluster analysis on the included prescription acupoints,and a dendrogram and a Web network dia-gram of high-frequency acupoints and core prescriptions were drawn.Results:① A total of 132 articles were included,including 178 acupuncture prescriptions,196 acupoints,and a total frequency of acupoint use of 1735 times;② The top 10 acupoints in terms of frequency of use were Fengchi,Zusanli,Baihui,Hegu,Sanyinjiao,Quchi,Taichong,Yan-glingquan,Fengfu,and Taixi;③ The top 5 meridians in terms of frequency of use were Du Meridian,Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian,Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian,Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian,and Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian;④ The acupoints used were mainly located in the head,face,neck,and lower limbs;⑤ The most frequently used specific acupoints were the intersection points;⑥ The high-frequency acupoints for acupuncture treat-ment of balance disorders were Fengchi-Wangu,Fengchi-Tianzhu,and Fengchi-Wangu-Tianzhu;⑦ The top 31 high-frequency acupoints(frequency>15 times)can be divided into 7 effective clusters.Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment of balance disorders has formed a combination rule with"unblocking the Governor Vessel to regulate the mind and dredge the meridians"as the main treatment principle,with the combination of distant and near acupoints as the main body,and attaches importance to the application of the yang meridians with more Qi and blood,presenting a basic acu-point prescription with Fengchi,Baihui,Zusanli,Quchi and Hegu as the core.
